Let Me Dream With You by Berylla Ithylian
I want to build my life around you, Forever by your side. The mist swirls around us But I know I'm safe here in your heart.
Working, laughing, creating, living Our world can't be destroyed. Our love is stronger than the danger. No harm will come to us.
The love that surrounds us Reaches out to those nearby. We share it with all who touch our lives. Our love becomes theirs.
Confide in me, my love For you hold all my secrets. My trust in you can't be shaken
And you are safe here in my heart.

Heart of a Poet

When I sleep, I dream of thee... And then my wish is
simple, the wish of a peasant man. I wish only that I shall never
awaken, so that we can finally claim that which is rightfully
ours... Our one true chance at eternity... For I still remember
everything about thee. For how could one forget? I remember thine
eyes, and the way they glittered like stars... How they couldst
see to the depths of my soul, and how they couldst shine like the
glowing sun.
And I remember thy tears, the way each drop cleaved the air in two. For how could one survive such a floodgate of sorrow? For I, being a mere peasant, could never brave those shadowy depths of water... But most of all, I remember the way thou smiled. And I remember when we first met, how thou blessed me with that smile. And how at first I had acted the jester, the one true fool... For I had ignored thee, and nearly missed the greatest joy of my life.
But that smile... That perfect smile... Thy smile is what changed my life. For when thou smiled, I finally came to know the meaning of love... And with that smile, I camest to know the true purpose of my life. But even as I remember these things.... The memories begin to fade. For every man must waketh from his dreams. And then I am left with all that I know... That thy summer has set, and that winter has claimed thy soul. And the only thing I can do... Is close my eyes... For then I can see thy smile once again...
Goodbye my love, I will miss thee always...
The Raven
And The Wolf
By Alturiak Saine
Long ago, when
the world was mostly forest,
Before elf and man transformed the world with magic,
There lived a simple, happy wolf.
This wolf lived his life happily
in the forest.
He howled and played as he wished,
With nothing but other wolves in his life.
One day, while drinking at a
stream,
The wolf spied something he had never seen before.
A raven perched near the water hole,
With feathers black and glossy, and eyes of liquid midnight.
The wolf's voice caught in his
throat.
This raven was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen.
He reined in his recalcitrant voice,
And he spoke his thoughts to the raven.
The raven, beautiful still, merely
chuckled, shaking her head.
She reminded the wolf that she was a raven, and he a wolf.
The wolf protested mightily, balking at her laughter.
She chuckled once more, and again shook her head.
The raven and the wolf became
inseparable after that day.
Boon companions almost never seen without the other.
Although one a wolf, the other a raven,
They even began to love each other.
One night, the two settled down to
sleep,
And the wolf, bleary eyed and tired, spoke his thoughts.
In his growelly, lupine voice, he asked the raven to teach him to
fly.
The raven merely chuckled, and shook her head as the wolf drifted
off to sleep.
Years passed like this for the
raven and the wolf,
Until one day the wolf awoke,
Alone, with no eyes of liquid midnight watching,
No cawing voice to chide his passing thoughts.
The wolf was horrified.
But he knew there was nothing he could do.
Nature had fulfilled her course,
And his raven was gone.
He grew old and grizzled, bleary eyed and
trembly with age,
And many nights he watched the moon,
Thinking of the days spent with his raven,
Her cawing voice, and her eyes of liquid midnight.
One day he walked into the winter
twilight,
His eyes clear, and his shivers gone.
His raven perched beside him,
And he knew that Nature's course was for him complete.
The wolf chuckled softly, and
shook his head.
His gaze fell warmly on the one he had loved for so long.
The raven chuckled knowingly and nodded, finally, as the wolf
spoke.
Perhaps now you can teach me to fly.
