A Healer's
Life
by Alyssea Gothaina
Brave and scared I stand alone,
Through the path a light is shown.
Should I venture or should I flee,
My curiosity gets the best of me.
Alone I walk, my fate unknown,
Up ahead a body shown.
I kneel down at this wounded mess,
I call out to Lorminstra, for this soul to bless.
I reach out tenderly, clasp his
hand,
Bring him back to familiar land.
I take his wounds unto myself,
To save his life I risk my health.
I call for his life to be restorn,
A bright light crashes down, his life reborn.
He says his thanks, gazing into my eyes,
He gently whispers his goodbye.
Off he walks into the light,
And vanishes suddenly into the night.
One Boy's
Loss
by Plur
Shisttle
The trace was peaceful, full of
joy
Children scattered about, both girl and boy.
Suddenly the war drums bang
As the sound of swords clang.
The town gates are torn down
And the hordes of raiders storm the town.
The children and women are taken
inside
Except one little boy with no where to hide.
The townsfolk scream as the
raiders rush by
The little boy can do nothing but cry.
The raiders continue to scream and
shout
But the little boy searches about.
The little boy ran and rummaged
all around
He noticed his mother in a puddle of blood on the ground.
The boy took his mother's hand in
his
And asked, " Dear mother..who has done this? "
The mother smiled, tears on her
face
"I did this for you, now go from this place"
With tears in his eyes the boy ran
away
Never to forget the loss on that day.
The raiders were gone, the town
had been saved
The people rejoiced, no damage was made.
What seemed like fun for a few,
never turned out right on that day.
For all they managed to do, was take a boy's mother away.
With tears in his eyes the boy
began to pray
Never to forget the loss on that day.
