Building to Come...
by Lady Pain

Once again I bring exciting news regarding things to come with the ALAE.

For those that aren't aware, the ALAE (Architecture and Landscaping Association of Elanthia) is a player run organization that is currently active in the Platinum version of GemStone III. We are having a blast in here building things that we have only dreamed of seeing along our journeys through Elanthia.

A few of the projects we have completed include refurbishing and remodeling of some of the Great Houses in Prime (Helden and Aspis to name a few).

I have actually managed to sneak some upcoming information out of the ALAE to bring to you some news of projects on the horizon that you will all find exciting I'm sure.

First project, one with the most potential for new artists if you ask me, is the PRO Community Hall. PRO? Player Run Organization Community Hall. This building will exist in Prime to house most of the player run organizations throughout the lands. (Clubs, Covens, etc.). The building will have to be flexible and tasteful to a myriad of prospective members. More information to come as it comes available to us.

The Second project is one that the members of Platinum have fought very hard to get and we are more than thrilled to see this approved: A Memorial Area. This will be some sort of park or garden type of location that will serve to remember those that we, and all of you, have lost along our paths. There will be more information on this as it comes to us as well.

The Third project, my personal favorite, is the redesign of Silverwood Manor. This is the Mentor area in Prime that houses some of the most helpful, giving, selfless people in our community. They deserve some new digs! The specifics with this project will be a little more hammered out than perhaps some of the previously mentioned areas would be, but this will give you a chance to give back to those that might have helped you along your way from Raging Thrak to Hearthstone.

Our project plate keeps getting larger and larger and we could certainly use a hand or twelve. If this sounds like something you would like to participate in or lend a creative thought or suggestion and you are up to the challenge of an artists hours, cross that bridge to Platinum! All members that apply to the ALAE are asked to submit a piece of work for review and will need to have a fairly respectable record before being taken through the training process and finally inducted into the ALAE and assigned to a project.

Come join us and have your ideas cemented on display in GemStone III forever!
