The March of Talbot Dabbings
by Schnuffy Cummerbund

The cry went out
In Icemule Trace
'At Arms', 'At Arms'
Make haste

Talbot Dabbings
Gathering his men
Will e'er they see
The Trace again

Brave Halflings march
O'er ice-covered ground
Planning to rescue
The besieged town

Halflings creeping
Make not a sound
Sneak under cover
Low to the ground

The Landing Gates
Once opened wide
Now standing drawn
Inside they hide

Behind the walls
The Elves they hide

Dwarves and Giants
Also inside

Krovlin campfires
Rising steams
Cover the valley
Or so it seems

A Halfling Wizard
Casts a light
Ten thousand krolvins
A fearsome sight

Talbot mutters
As if to himself
'Must rescue them all,
Down to an Elf"

As Halflings watched
Krolvins attacked
The walls are breached
The town ransacked

Stealthily our troops
Draw near
In the fracas
Krovlins don't hear

Talbot hides
Behind a barrel
He lets loose a scream
Sounding quite feral

The Krolvin Captain
Turns in surprise
Talbot's steel
Between his eyes

The Allies rally
At Dabbing's cry
Krolvins left and right
Begin to die

A glint of iron
The hiss of steel
The Krolvin Captain
Begins to reel

His deathcry sounds
The Captain falls
A cheer goes up
Then sadly falls

A final parry
Captains final best
Dabbings falls
Pierced through the breast

Tho' teary-eyed
Halflings fight on
'Til finally
All Krolvins are gone

Routed from
Their own great lust
Krolvin conquest
Turned to dust

Halfling, Dwarf,
Elf, Giantman
Side by side and
Hand in hand

The threat is gone
The Landing freed
Good men have died
Heroes indeed

Halflings bear
The body home
Dabbing's Trace
No more to roam

His name recall
A statue stands
Talbot Dabbings
Savior of the Lands
